It depends on what year Viper you have.

As I recall, the 1993 (and 1992) Service Manual was a single loose-leaf manual in a hard cover. I know that in Gen II and beyond (through 2006) there were multiple soft cover manuals that appeared in addition to the Service Manual.

HOWEVER, for a short time in the early 2000’s Chrysler made available 4 or 5 soft cover booklets in a hard cover that were Technician training manuals on subsystems…electrical, engine management, etc. These manuals contained lots of good info not found in the service manuals. Unfortunately, this set was $400-500, and I have seen very few for sale through the years.

Maybe other “really old” oldtimers will either add to or correct my above statements.

As a personal observation, I find the 92 and 93 manuals quite informative and easy to use.

I have heard there is a two book service manual set, one for the chassis and one for the engine, but I only see a single book advertised online. Can someone point me to the best set of service manuals that cover everything?
