2004 ram 1500. My buddies were stuck on a recent fishing trip (cause they don’t have dodge trucks of course) and I had to whinch em out. One of them I had to winch all the way across a river that was running pretty fast and about 3.5 ft deep, and I noticed the alternator start to drop as I was pulling him the 100 ft or so. I had to rev the engine to keep it up.
Can I just put in a bigger alternator for those times or for when running off road lights, etc? Or does that mean my alternator is dying?
Thanks in advance.
