silver finished plastic trim on top of my 2005’s console has lost it’s finish where your forearm rests behind the shift knob. It scratches easily also so I thought I would replace it with a carbon fiber trim kit. My question is what is the best way to remove the silver finished trim from the top of the console and dash board. Adding the carbon fiber to the top of the existing trim would make it too thick and bulky. Do I just pull the old trim off? Should I heat it? Has anyone done this before? Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks, Bill
