I am a little slow here in Kneebrasskey, but how did you run 4 Season , but you won 5 Championships?? Enquiring minds want to know, ha!
-
I remember when I was like 12 reading a HOT ROD magazine article about NASCARs idea for a road racing series that I doubted would ever happen. It had a drawing of a steel tube frame mid engine race car that looked fantastic.
After IMSA started racing the early DPs that were weird looking things one of the France family who was President of NASCAR at the time proposed to GM to build the 2nd Corvette Prototype after the 1980s Corvette GTP. Chevy Racing agreed and the Corvette DP was born in 2009. This is a ROAD & TRACK article on my car.
God I love this car, she rewrites everything you ever believed about acceleration, handling, g force. She is a family heirloom now,I’ll never sell her.

She is beautiful, sexy, fast, hot, uncomfortable, very loud but what a ride!!!!
-
Thanks for sharing the article !
What was the Horsepower and Wet Curb weight ? -
She’s around 2700#, 650hp, 2000# downforce. We upgraded her to 2016 spec with downforce generators inside door sills, huge diffuser & biplane rear wing
Also added paddle shift
-
Here she is today. Now she only races at HSR on east coast. Yes, I stole the livery from Lotus JPS F1 :United_Kingdom:

Gorgeous car Hubbell

FARA has Championship for Sprint & Endurance races so you can win 2 per year. We should have 6 but they had a goofy rule change where the only race I missed had 4x points

The 512TR is a fantastic car, beautiful, sexy, fast, comfortable. Mine looks just like this except she has GIANT Brembo F50 brakes and a Tubi exhaust. I tracked her a lot and did crazy sht w no HANS or cage like going through turn 2 @WGI flat out on slicks LOL. She’ll be home at July. Having a little work done now

If someone wants to pay me crazy money for my Comp Coupe, I’ll love to grab this one. Yours is #1, this one is the last one built, #12 (and for sale)

I’ve been told they built around 30. They were built by Coyote, Dallara, Action Express aka France family built one too. What they asking for that ? It’s a blast to drive

$250 sounds right. They were $500 new but they only sold to established IMSA teams. $250 is a hell of a lot for what you get. Cheaper than a new Ferrari and you get a serious track weapon that will smoke almost anything. You want to get as many spares as you can get cus they’re scarce & not cheap

So my car is #001, first Vette DP ever built. It is the 1st car shown to public and was originally blue. I was in love at first sight, never imagined she’d be mine one day.
She raced under VISIT FLORIDA, ACTION EXPRESS, and WHELEN livery. I got IMSA prototype Champion Eric Curran as coach w the car and now we’re good friends. We raced 4 seasons in FARAUSA.COM and won 5 championships. We also race her at HSR where she does well too.
