      Beth-

I have been looking at the lists. One thing that jumps out at me is having current paid members that have old membership numbers.

I don’t know what the database check is when a “new” person joins, but can email, phone, name, and address be checked to ensure new membership numbers are generated for people whose memberships lapsed?

With this, when we find a duplicate, then how can we modify the old membership number to reflect that it is dead or reference the members new active number?

Another item, when a person joins as a non-paying “enthusiast” can there be an email sent to verify the email’s validity? Not sure if that is the workflow currently. Any other methods to verify information entered?

If we as regional presidents find incorrect information, then what will be the process to notify and/or correct?

      Brian,
I don’t know the answers to your questions so will have to refer them to Don. I’ll ask him to respond to this thread.

A lot of members paid for a specific number, for this reason, we do not issue them a new number when they lapse.

The only time we should really encounter this is if they were to join again, instead of renew. This happens a few times a year, and we (admin@driveviper.com and myself) merge the accounts back to the old number.

Yes, each account is email verified, moderator scrutinized, and IP checked before they are allowed on our forum. You should thank your mods, they do an awesome job of screening out BS accounts. 🙂

Send an email to admin@driveviper.com with the details.

      Howdy everyone!

Don sent me the list of enthusiasts who have been active over the past year. I have sorted them by region and by most recent activity dates and each of you should have your prospect list by now.

I recommend you split the list among your officers and reach out to them – I think a phone call would be a good place to start as it shows human interest in them.

You need to find out if they own a Viper and if they do then start chatting with them about how much fun your region has, the benefits of membership, cool upcoming events and invite them to the next one so they can see all this for themselves.

We are finding that some folks who join the forums actually think they’re joining the club so Don is working on separating the sign ups with 2 options: one to join forums only and the other to join the VOA.

Our goal is to convert the enthusiasts into full members which is mutually beneficial for all and adds strength to our club. For what it’s worth I have noticed in the last couple of weeks we’re getting more new members and renewals signing up!

Let me know if you have any questions about this project.

      Happy hunting!
