Headline should really read, Dodge Dealers Did What?
I saw the 3rd quarter results yesterday in Automotive News, and did a double take when I saw 2 Vipers were retailed during the quarter. I tried to do a search but can’t figure out how many New are in dealer inventory.
Canada data is only up through Q2 but 0 New Vipers sold in 2020.

Well this should put an end to all those that said over and over again. ” It was so and so’s fault for dropping the ball at the launch of the Gen 5″ or “If they would have only made a model with an Automatic Transmission they would have sold enough to keep making them”.lol

This is a simple case, has happened for Decades, and is nothing more than Dealers who kept a vehicle they thought would bring big money on their ” Floor Plan” and then due to changes in their business , or because the market went up a bunch , they finally decided to sell. It has nothing to do with Dodge and like these articles over the years they are misleading —- just a simple case of hold for the gold.
Heck, we got started selling a bunch of Vipers at Woodhouse by buying Vipers from other Dealers who either were holding for their own collections, personal use, or for showroom traffic, hence there were a bunch of 1997, 1998, 1999s sold on original MSOs — yes , though 2-4 years old their Warranty started when we sold them.
