Does Gen 3 use CANbus with Radio

The viper doesn’t use can bus for the radio, i replaced mine and all that was used was a jobber chrysler metra harness. I believe the can bus was used for some of the ram radios of that year.

The Gen-3 & Gen-4 Vipers use a J1850 VPW interior bus, not CAN. As REDX pointed out above, the 2006 Ram SRT-10 had a CAN Bus.

I am going to replace the factory 6 disc radio in my 06 coupe with an aftermarket unit from Pioneer. I ask looking for a wiring harness for it, and found one that has CANbus. However, I did not think the 06 had CANbus. Can someone confirm that either way please?
