If you are keeping cats on the car, the check engine light may stay off. I wouldn’t say a tune is required but to get the full benefits of the parts you’re putting on, I would tune it.

      ^^^ Good advice, right there.

I added an x-metal throttle body and CAI kit to my ’03 (no headers yet) and gained 0 HP without a tune, all I gained was worse mileage after the ECM added more fuel to compensate for the additional intake air. When Andres added my parts to his tuned ’03 (with headers/heads/cam) he gained 30 RWHP over his previous dyno pull without my parts on. I’d agree, tune it if you want a full return on your mod investment.

I have an 03 currently stock. Here is the list of stuff going on it.

      -Belanger headers
-3″ cat-back (not sure what brand yet)
      -K&N intake
      – JTSVP throttle body

Just trying to figure out if I need a tune. Also where to take it. I’m located in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. I called Archer in Duluth they no longer Dyno and the guy a talked to (not john) didn’t think I would need a tune. I just want to make sure before I run the car this way.
