Basic outline of the event is to drive down to Corpus Christi on the 20th, enjoy the cruise, tour the USS Lexington museum ($14.95 per adult ticket), possible sunset cruise down the coast to dinner (pending dinner location), late night Texas regional ‘meeting’ by the pool. Sunday the 21st we can head up to the USS Lexington Pier with up to 60 Vipers for one heck of a group photo!
Unfortunately, we are not able to get the cars ON the USS Lexington, the elevator is being serviced and it would also stop all tourism for the day even if it was fixed in time.
To help the museum with upkeep, repairs and new exhibits we agreed that every Viper that goes on the pier will donate a $10 donation to the museum. No one has to buy a ticket to tour on Saturday if they do not want but they must donate $10 to put the Viper on the pier for the group picture.
Should be a fun last bit of summer overnight trip for all of Texas to donate to and take a picture with a very awesome piece of Navy history. And who can turn down a weekend at the beach?!
Yvette talked to Dominque Edwards, the manager of Water Street Oyster Bar it’s a 10 minute walk from the Omni Hotel and she can accommodate the Club. So far she has requested seating for 12 people. Restaurant asked that I please call back a few days before with a good number of people.

There is plenty of parking but they share parking lot with other restaurants in the area.
I think this can be a great event! A picture of Vipers on the Pier I think would look amazing!
