Thanks for sharing, Martin. Martin has been doing a great job of building enthusiasm for his club in general, and in particular, NVE2. When your club members see others are going, they start thinking they want to go, too. So it’s good to get the dialog going. I wanted him to share what he is doing to give the rest of you some inspiration and ideas. Help us make this the unquestionable biggest Viper party on the plane!

How can I find out who has signed up so far from IN/KY for NVE2
-
Hey Guys,
I don’t post much on the forum, but I am pretty ecstatic about being a member of the New England Viper Club. OK, I’m a bit obsessed…. I love the New England club and the whole idea of the VOA. Since becoming a member of the “viper club” I have made a ton of quality friends in the club. I slam my members with emails like there is no tomorrow, and quite frankly no one complains cause they like the enthusiasm. I cc Maurice on some emails from time to time so he can see what’s going on in the New England Region. Maurice I guess likes the tone in my emails so he asked me to write something in the officers forum. Just a heads up my grammar is not great but I think the members can look past that 🙂 (Please don’t take it as a brag, I just figured it might help some regions that have lower levels of participation.
Just a little info on NE club:
We have 57 members in our region, and from last count I believe 50 of 57 actually came to one or more events this year. In the beginning of the year we had 8 events in 9 weeks and averaged around 15-20 members per event. Our biggest event (lobster roll event) got 36 members (really 30 but we signed up 6 new members that week that went to the event for a total of 36) We had 11 drive to TOD I believe it was, and we have 16 signed up (maybe only 14 officially paid for) for NVE 2 and counting (I think we will have 20 total.).I contribute the high % of people coming to events because I keep on top of them pretty well, as long as people read all the emails I send to the group to see what going on. I also write emails that are pretty hyped up and sound exciting. I also write personal emails to all 57 members pretty regularly. Even if its just 2 sentences. Ex “Hey Joe just checking in on you, when are we going to see you and that sick Gen 5 you just bought” An email like that goes a long way and it only took me 20 seconds to type it. Of the 57 members 25-30 Id consider “regulars” but the other half are not and need some motivation. I can fire off 30 quick personal emails in 45 min to an hour….When I do that I actually get responses and mostly positive ones!
Anyways regarding NVE 2 I have been all over my members about it ever since we left NVE1. I send them email reminders, and emails full of pictures from NVE1. At the Christmas party this year we have already compiled two slide shows one from TOD and one from NVE1. After I show those slide shows to the group Ill talk about the event and try and get more members to sign up.
Below is an email I have been sending out every time a new person signs up for NVE2. I “reply to all” and update it every single time someone new signs up. My grammar sucks I know…But lots of enthusiasm…. Feel free to copy it if you think its worthwhile (obviously just change the specifics) and send it out to your members.
Subject: We are up to 16!! New England guys signed up for NVE2!!!
We have 16 members signed up for NVE2!!!! And counting!
We are up to 16 New England guys signed up for NVE2!!! Also for any new comers, pretty much all the members are bringing a guest, wife, husband, significant other, etc… So we will have a large crew and plenty of people to hang out with !
I can still think of a handful of members that have a good chance of signing up! Come on what are you waiting for! How awesome would it be to cruise down with 20 vipers from New England…..That would be impressive and we would definitely get noticed for making the long ride!
The VOA will be paying for one members room at NVE2. However you must be in the first 500 to register. Looks like they already have 470 guests signed up the first week. So if you haven’t officially signed up and you want a chance to win having your room paid for then do it asap. If you are bringing a guest it just doubles your chances to 1 out of 250..not bad considering the hotel is about $1000 after taxes for the 4 nights! They will do the drawing the night of the viper give away.
Dodge will be representing big time down there! More details to come.
For people not taking their viper:
Look at South West Airlines for deals into Manchester NH and Logan Airport. ($183-$250 for a one way flight home) Round trip is pretty cheap as well. South west is much cheaper than anyone else. Also the VOA is putting a deal together with a carrier to get discounted rates for shipping the cars home. We also have a member in our club that has some good connections on shipping cars.
I will update you guys on shipping costs. Glenn has been working hard trying to find us a great rate!Official Line up so far! (Please correct me if there are any mistakes)

Errol – not taking viper and flying both ways.
Mike D – ?
John B – Technically a NY member but from CT! and on our email list.If someone signs up please let me know so I can keep everyone updated. Again you don’t have to Caravan down together but I would at least like to keep everyone informed with what the group is doing. You can make your own decisions if you choose to partake on the Caravan down.
Keep signing up! If anyone has any questions about NVE2 please ask me! All I can say is that you won’t regret a second of it. Dodge will be there representing and doing laps around Nola for all of us!! They will be heavily staffed, they are a huge contributor to keep the prices low for this event. (Yeah I know that sounds odd to say cause $695 might still sound pricy but in reality it is a bargain when you realize what you are getting for the price. And a chance to go home in a 2016 Viper!!!!!!!!!
