Great looking Viper, sorry to say I don’t know what your previous car is? Is it a Honda S2000? But the engine work and wheels look great πŸ™‚

That is a beautiful car and an excellent choice. Good luck with your mods. You work on the other car looks great. Keep everyone updated.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes its a S2000 with a lot of work done. Soft top removed and carbon fiber hardtop/fastback installed. I bought it bone stock and did all the work myself including direct port methanol injection. It was making 607whp on 93 octane and spraying meth. Only thing I didn’t do myself was the tig welding on the intercooler piping.

On my immediate upgrade list for the viper are:
      – Silicon Radiator hoses
      – Water pump pulley & bracket

Congrats on the Viper! You’ll love it!!!
That S2000 looks like it would be a wicked fast car!

Congrats! You’re gonna love it! Is that an Ontario license plate on the S2K?

Thank you sir will do! I made a very basic video of my BC coilover install. I’ll piece it together shortly and upload it. Only bought the car 2 months ago and have been going through the car with care and getting the basics out of the way.

Part of me wants to get carried away with mods but the other part of me feels like this might be better to leave it mostly stock (and keep the oem parts) and just save the funds for a gen V ACR to have both (GenII ACR & GenV ACR)…decisions decisions

Thanks! Yeah not to boast but that s2000 was pretty damn fast. With all the weight reduction I did the car was less than 2500lbs. We raced a Yamaha R1 on the highway and the car walked the bike (This was with a well known capable friend riding the bike). It had 275 Hoosiers on the rear and would light them up at 70mph if you put your foot into it on the highway. Like the viper though cooling isn’t adequate on the s2000 and I couldn’t road course the car after adding all that heat with the turbo setup. This is something I do not want to do with the viper and no longer be able to road course the car.

Good eye! Yes I used to live in Toronto and the S2000 is now owned by a guy in Kitchener/Waterloo area. I’m down in California now.

There is a lot of information on these boards regarding modifications you may or may not want to make to your beautiful Viper to make it the perfect road course car. The ACR is a great starting point for this. Does your car have the radio and A/C?

Thanks for the info on the S2000 πŸ™‚
I have an Engine start button from an S2000 fitted in my car πŸ™‚ You are absolutely right to replace the Power steering Pulley and Bracket, the black plastic pulley will fail at some point, I have known of 4 failing on UK cars alone!

If you like billet pulleys and other nic parts check out Marks stuff.

Yeah I already pulled the 4 factory Koni’s that were puking oil on my garage floor. Went with the BC racing coils (with custom spring rates to match the ACR) since they are proven and have more adjust-ability and a proper ride height adjustment system. Rides 100x better now. My car has the factory A/C and radio option. Radio I couldn’t care too much about but the A/C is absolutely necessary for a street car in the summers of California. Canada I could have got away with no A/C (I didn’t have it in my S2000).

Yeah I saw the IPSCO stuff. Is anyone running their underdrive pulleys? I may want to go all billet pulleys later on so the P/S pulley doesn’t look out of place.

      Im running the lot πŸ™‚

I did have to change belt length, I got a piece of string and ran it around all the pullies and took a measurement applying mid tension to the idler pulley. πŸ™‚

One other important thing is the top pulley next to the generator, the central bolt needs to be exchanged for a longer one where it bolts into the timing cover.

I found out the hard way that the original bolt was too short!
This is part of the spigot on the front timing cover!

I had to get a longer bolt and after sawing off the broken part from the timing cover and making sure it was perfectly flat and true, I had to machine up a spacer to realign the pulley

      πŸ™‚

Ah okay noted! Did you notice any difference in power with the underdrive pulley?

Hey all! I’ve been a longtime lurker and always been a gear head. Finally picked up a 2000 ACR not too long ago. I do all my own work on my vehicles. I’m not sure if I want to supercharge this eventually or just keep it NA.

Car is was all stock and I have since done:
      – Engine mounts
      – Trans mount
      – BC Coilovers with 12k front 14k rear

Couple pictures of my previous car with 607whp all build by yours truly.
