Valve covers, intake manifold, heads and block, pistons, rods, camshaft, exhaust manifolds, exhaust, clutch, trans, rear end come to mind. I believe the oil pan is also manufactured by a new company also.

So is the head completly different as far as port design? If the headed and intake manifolds fit both gens?

The water jackets are different and the heads are machined for the intake manifold crush sleeves based on what I’ve been told and read. I don’t recall hearing about different ports.

I’m told the heads are not interchangeable because of the different water jackets.

I’m assuming that’s the difference in the block as well or is there something else?

That’s what I was told and that the head gaskets on the V are different for each head where previous gen they were interchangeable.

What exactly are the differences in the motor and drive train between these two?
