Not sure if it changed mid year or not, but I had a early production 2004 SRT-10 Ram that had a crank sensor issue. it was located on the back of the block behind the flywheel.

I have never found a 2004 with the crank sensor in the engine. Most flywheels we use for the Gen 3 have the crank trigger pattern cut into them so they could be used with all Gen 3 cars.

I am getting mixed signals regarding the crank sensor for the flywheel. I currently have a 2004 viper. Some people say that late model 04 have the sensor on the engine block and even some sites states that the stock flywheel is good from 04-06.

can anyone confirm if all 03-04 viper have crank sensors on the flywheel or do late model 04 have it on the engine?

i tried decoding to see which month it was built but no luck.

yes i will be changing my clutch and flywheel soon. however i hope i do not have to pull my tranny out twice just to check the sensor.
