Thought I would post this in case anyone has issues with their glovebox door not staying latched and popping open while driving. After I removed the glovebox door, I removed the backside of the door to access the lock mechanism. The culprit was the black plastic tab that holds the latch spring in place. Luckily, the spring was there and the tab was still in place but just barely hanging there. I repaired it with Super Glue and reattached the spring. Now the latch works as it should again. After reinstalling the door, it latches and stays closed as it should.
