Congrats, man! That’s a beauty. At 3800 miles, an engine/tranny/diff oil change all around wouldn’t hurt. Tires should be ok for now. No need to change the filter or radiator fluid.

I’ve always had my cars serviced at Dayton Andrews and have been treated well. David, a fellow Viper owner, is also a Viper tech at Suncoast.

Thanks guys, very excited for it to arrive!!!

Ryan, do you have Daytona/Suncoast do your fluid changes or have you been doing them in-house?
Oil Change: I picked up 12 quarts of 0W-40 Pennzoil and the SRT filter 5038041AA.
Transmission: 4 quarts of Mopar 68218057AB.
Differential: I’ve read all previous posts about the additive vs no additive that Steve posted. If I understand correctly the new fluid already has it mixed in. Problem is, I can’t find the Mopar part online (all sites I found don’t have it in stock) Is this the same fluid? https://www.carpartsdiscount.com/differential-gear-oil-hypoid-sae-75w-140-1-liter.html?3593=545783
While I’m at it I want to take care of the clutch, breaks and power steering. (or is this overkill?)
Clutch: https://www.amazon.com/Motul-MTL100949-Factory-Percent-Synthetic/dp/B004LEYJO4/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1527695868&sr=1-4&keywords=castrol+srf+brake+fluid how much do I need?
      Breaks: Same as clutch? Quantity?
Power Steering: Same as tranny? Quantity?

      Thank you!

change out the engine oil, diff fluid, and transmission fluid to get the break in stuff out of it. The diff will be quite nasty. Tires probably approaching dry rot age at this point for a 2013. DOnt need to change coolant for 100k miles

Transmission fluid is just the ATF Chrysler 4+ at autozone, takes about 3.5qt or so. Diff is 1.5qt I use the castrol syntrax stuff

Hello viper lovers, my name is Jonathan and I just purchased my first viper!
I’ve been a lurker of the VOA boards for a few years and been wanting to own a viper since I was born. (November 1991, same as the snake!)
I grew up in a rally environment (dad was semi-pro racer) so I have some experience with small european cars such as the Renault Clio RS, Citroen Xsara WRC and most recently a Subaru WRX. But the viper is a totally different beast.:United_States:

Before buying the vehicle I took your advice in an earlier post and had Dan Cragin at SPT perform a PPI, result was pristine. The car is being shipped from California and should arrive in a week. It’s a 2013 GTS with 3,800 miles, no mods.

I’ve been reading lots of threads, from motor oil recommendations to common issues in GenV’s. One thing I couldn’t find is a checklist of suggested maintenance items when buying a 5 year old used Viper. I’m planning on doing the oil change, but what about other items such as radiator fluid, tranny fluid, air filters, new tires, etc? What do you guys recommend doing? I won’t be tracking the car.

I’m excited to have joined the club and looking forward to meeting all of you at NVE4 in Miami!

P.S. Special shout-out to Ryan (98intrigue) for letting me drive in your ACR, it’s the experience that made me pull the trigger on the purchase. (wish I had the extra cash, would have bought yours)
