Car girl…. How cool it that! Thanks….. I was pretty sure I wanted a blk on blk gen 3, I found this one in Chicago…800 miles from me…but it was worth the drive and fun at the same time. Today I just found out it has either borla or corsa exhaust aftermarket cats..and 3:55 gears. Mods I was considering anyway… Good times!

I have been reading lots of Viper books and one thing I read was that after much deliberation and back and forth, the Gen V’s went with a 3.55 gear. Your car (and the previous owner) is way ahead of it’s time 🙂 Enjoy that beautiful car, I bet you have a permanent smile of your face even now!

Congrats on the purchase of a real beauty, love the color combo and what a bonus getting the 3:55’s too. Nicely done!

Hello VOA members! Im a new here, have been members on several other forums prior….Im just a car enthusiaist, All foreign cars up until the purchase of my 2006 SRT10 22K miles. I was torn between getting a 2001-2005 Porsche 996 turbo and a later model viper. I researched and consulted with a friend of mine whom race vipers (Kenny Hawkins) out of Raleigh NC. He an owner of a high end body shop ..and.has had numerous performance vehicles. He said to get the Viper by far. So not long after Flew up to Exotic motors in suburbs of Chicago and drove home 800 miles in my black on black 06 srt10 vert. Nice car very clean, different from any other cars that Ive had. The more I spend time and learn about the vipers the more I enjoy the car. My plans will include most simple bolt on performance parts…probably a nice suspension set up…mabey a SC down the road? I just plan on enjoying it for years to come. I will join the VOA soon..and look forward to meeting you all at some of the up coming events. Cheers!
