No motorcycle Helmets on the track in your car. Look for SA2015 Certification. These will have Nomex liners and are stronger than MC helmets. All of the major helmet Manufacturers make a Motorsports helmet.
I only use full face with a visor. God forbid something happens it will keep debris out of your face.

IF you run a full face it helps to get the large eye port. Gives you more field of vision for turns, and hills.

Love my Stilo. Aria does make an auto helmet. I’m sure the quality is good.

If you’re just starting and don’t want to drop $1,000+ on a helmet, Bell makes a very nice and comfortable Sport EV. The EV stands for extra vision, and has a wider face opening.
It’d be a great starter helmet.

If you track a couple of times per season, don’t waste your money. Most reputable HPDE organizers have helmet rentals for like $20. Another pain in the ass is helmet certifications expire, forcing you to discard a perfectly good helmet.

You can get a Snell Certified 2015 helmet through many outlets for a very reasonable price and then you are not sticking your noggin in a helmet with Ricky Bobby’s sweat in it, imho. Check out Winding Road, Saferacer, etc. and G Force and some others make helmets that meet standards and are only $200-300. Get a full face with a wide opening , and as cost rises what you will find is it usually means less weight. There are other attributes , but this is just one simple benefit , as price increases.

Hey Guys, I have been thinking about starting to track my car and start to learn the limits of these beasts. Although I would love an ACR, I have a GTS with the Pirellis and Stoptech brakes for now. Anyway I’m trying to determine the best choice for a helmet. I see a lot of different styles out there, full face, visor, no visor, open face etc. I would certainly like some input on style, but also brands and models. I have had good luck with Arai in the past with Motorcycle helmets as far as being comfortable, lightweight, and good airflow. Let me know.
