The last pic looks like your tensioner pulley was the culprit. Often times the bearings go out and they develop a wobble that takes them out in short order. I’m not sure if you can just buy the pulley or have to by the entire tensioner assembly. Upgrading to an UD crank pulley isn’t a bad idea if you aren’t running an aftermarket stereo and will give you a couple extra hp. I’ve had one on mine for a few weeks and have had no problem with charging or cooling.

You can get a Billet replacement for that 😉

That is the belt tensioner, you can get a Billet replacement from Jon at Parts Rack or IPSCO. They both have the Under Drive pulley all in stock.

Thanks, guys! Picked up the last belt in the Tampa area and picked up the pulley. Got the belt on and was tightening the pulley and I stripped (or was already starting to strip and what caused the failure) the threads going into the tensioner bracket. Was hoping to have the car on the dyno Wednesday for some fine tuning…not happening now 🙁 I think I saw a few brackets on eBay.

On my way home from Festival of Speed yesterday, one of my pulleys decided to disintegrate and chewed up the belt a bit. The chewed up pulley was stuck between the belt and the tensioner pulley. I’m trying to figure out what pulley I need to buy… Most of the pictures online look to be a smooth pulley, not ribbed like the one that disintegrated. Also, the one that disintegrated was plastic, whereas the other 3 ribbed pulleys on the car are metal?
While I’m at it, should I upgrade the underdrive pulley?
