      Ninja,

The NT05R’s I would not recommend for street/highway driving. The sidewalls are very soft and above 50MPH you loose stability big time. For fun straight line fun they grip a ton. I am currently trying to find someone who wants to swap mine out for nitto Invos or Michelines because with 98% street and 2% drag strip time i hate them. Better off with Toyo R888 with stiffer side walls.

If it were me, I’d put a set on a set of spare rims, and just put them on for the drag strip. Sticky tires like to pick things up and fling them at your paint…unless you like sandblasted paint.

Thanks for the input! Maybe I’ll go back to my original thoughts of MT’s on an 18″ rim just for the track then…

Hey guys… I’m guessing a number off people are running the 345/30R19 NT05R’s. Just wondering how many miles you are getting out of them on average. I’m thinking of giving a set a try for mostly street/Hwy driving, but also an occasional trip to the dragstrip… Thoughts? Reviews?
