How about plan B: Return your Hurst shifter and go to ipsco.org and buy one of their STS units. The STS is an excellent shift mechanism.

I bought a hurst short throw for me gen III . i have since noticed that the part number I ordered shows up as for a gen II. The place I ordered from says it will work for either. I do see that the transmission is the same in both gen’s. I just want some extra reassurance that it will work in both before i start on this and fins out other wise once i take it all apart. thanks
