New owner here. 1998 GTS seemed to run fine for the first few weeks of ownership. Now after the car is warmed up, the idle stays solid at 400rpm but the car will shake for a few seconds, then smooth out, and repeats. The tach doesn’t move during the shaking. I’m in FL and run with the AC on non-stop but turning it off does not affect the shaking in any way. It’s not bad enough where it feels like the car is going to die, it just shakes enough to make me wonder if something is wrong.
I also hear the occasional “clunk” when shifting aggressively and wondering if this is a bad motor or tranny mount? Is there a good way to test without taking them out for inspection?
