Is a tune needed with these mods?

I would say it’s worth it and dyno proven. I’m running an SCT tune and I’ve talked to Torrie about getting a custom tune emailed to me. I’m also in the process of adding headers to my existing Corsa cat back.

As far as I know the SCT tuner and the Mopar ECM are our only choices for the Gen 3’s. And yes it’s just horsepower waiting on the table for a few hundred bucks.

Yes you will see 30+whp gains. I wouldn’t use a generic tune and would advise to have the car dyno tuned, using SCT.

On my Gen3, I had a corsa installed at the same time as an SCT Tune from Roe Racing. I can tell you the combo made a VERY noticeable difference!

06 coupe with 18kmi. Currently doing full exhaust. I got a really cheap one out of China on ebay. Full setup for 500 bucks.

Just kidding. If am doing Belanger’s, high flows, and a corsa, all purchased from Partsrack.

I wanted to see what people’s experiences are with a tune and those mods. Is it worth it? (Not doing heads or rockers, still all stock.) I thought I would do a roe racing “canned tune” as I am sure they have seen these mods and have a pretty good handle on how to tune it. I also don’t need anything super aggressive to eek out every ounce of power. Obviously it’s hot out here in Arizona so I don’t want to go really aggressive at the expense of running hot. Right now the car has never once balked at our extreme summer heat.

If it’s as simple as 30hp just sitting on the table for the taking then of course I will do it. Are people really seeing those kind of gains? Did anyone have a noticible SOTP increase? I do track a bit but am by no means a track rat. If it’s a waste of time/money until I do heads, etc, I will hold off.
