I’m interested in the results, as the Viper I just bought has 2 spare key fobs that are not synced yet.

OK, figured it out. You have to do the procedure with the working fob at the same time. I just thought it would stay programed. Here’s the “updated” procedure that worked for me:
(1) Using a functional key fob transmitter, unlock the vehicle and disarm the Vehicle Theft Security System.
(2) Insert ignition key into the ignition switch.
(3) Turn the ignition switch to RUN position without starting engine.
(4) Using a functional key fob transmitter, press and hold the UNLOCK button for a minimum five seconds (maximum ten seconds).
(5) While still holding UNLOCK button, and before ten seconds passes, press the PANIC button and release both at the same time. A single chime will sound to indicate that the transmitter programming mode has been entered (allow 3 seconds for chime to sound).
(6) Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the “LOCK” and “UNLOCK” buttons on the WORKING transmitter at the same time. Then press and release any button on the same transmitter and a chime will sound after successfully programming the transmitter. Then, before the 30 seconds are up, press and release the “LOCK” and “UNLOCK” buttons on the NON-WORKING transmitter at the same time. Then press and release any button on the same transmitter and a chime will sound after successfully programming the transmitter. Repeat for more fobs if you like. Turn off the ignition, the procedure is done.

You guys got it. Once you start the reprogramming it wipes the past ones out of the system.

what do you do then , do it again for the “working one” that is now defunct ?? Would this work for a 1998 GTS ?? thanks

I have one working fob and am trying to program another one. I have followed this procedure:
(6) Within 30 seconds of the chime, press and release the “LOCK” and “UNLOCK” buttons on the transmitter at the same time. Then press and release any button on the same transmitter and a chime will sound after successfully programming the transmitter.
That all works fine and my previously non-working fob now works. However! The fob I used to program it now doesn’t work! I’ve tried this several times with the same result. What am I doing wrong? (Viper is an ’05)
