You might try the online area marketplace, Yelp, or even FB Marketplace.

In past 5 years or so, quite a few travelling wheel-repair businesses have emerged, and have been catering to car dealers and tire/wheel shops.

You might even ask Tator is he knows of a roving wheel repair? The last 2 I saw were both in Sprinter Vans!

      Good Luck

Good advice from Jon, but do ask up front on price as it can vary quite a bit. Would not be surprised if Chuck does not know someone , but very likely there is someone close by as this market opened up a lot in the past 5 years.

Thanks Gents. I’ve called a few locals and they seem to charge $100-$150 a wheel. But I don’t know any of them and I’d like not to wind up with mismatched wheels.

I’ll give Chuck a call of course. Just wanted not to have to drive too far.

      City,

It is likely they will not match exactly , so Mark J. and I always did both rims on a side , even though one often was fine. If you have rims on both sides , best to do all 4 , as age, corrosives and other conditions will alter the color some from new and with some of the FCA rims years back , the proprietary clear coats were not given out.

Figures you’d have the best advice! Will do exactly that. Thanks Bill.

I’ve done wheel repair for 12 years now. More straightening bent wheels than cosmetics (curb rash) these days. What’s the vehicle and/or pic of the wheel?
Most silvers are easily matched, hyper-silvers are the hardest to do. There’s not really a paint “code” for those. It helps to have a 2nd wheel there if painting the whole wheel. If just doing spot repairs, it shouldn’t be that difficult. (unless it’s hyper)

Not for the Viper. Family car has scraped too many curbs and it’s making me nuts. Nothing drastic, just around the edges.

Can anyone recommend a repair shop within say 50 miles of NYC?

      Thanks.
