Hey Ed!

You know I’m in…That’s a bit east of me, so Im not too familiar with the area. However, I actually just received the annual list of LI auto events today and there are a few shows going on that day. I can make a few calls tomorrow and see if there is anything worthwhile to attend afterwards?

At very least, there’s a Corvette only show; I figure we could just park across the street in perhaps a Starbucks parking lot with the hoods popped 😀

Yes. Jesse and I go with a group of friends. But we don’t actually finish, we cut back to Manhattan early. About 32 miles into the tour. The Verrazano Bridge at the 36 mile mark is just too much for me this early in the summer before I get into some kind of “bike shape”. The crowd at the Staten Island Ferry terminal also adds a few hours onto the day. 30,000 people!

What a great day for driving and being outside! I met some new local faces and learned a great deal. Everyone is so passionate and it shows on their skin.

It was amazing seeing the club takeover the LIE this morning. When we got to Country Corner Cafe, we got a whole piece of the parking lot to ourselves. We even made this one V12 lambo park next to the dumpster :-). Food was Great! And I think Adrian was able to get us reservations at a place that doesn’t even take reservations.
A special thanks goes out to Nick from American Racing Headers. He and his family is certainly passionate about cars, racing and Long Island. They literally made us feel like we were part of HIS family all afternoon. We received the grand tour of the Northfork. Absolutely great day all around and very happy that I could partake.

Guys, it was really a treat having you thunder out East (to my home turf) and spending some time with my family and I. Met some new folks, caught up with friends and had a great breakfast. The ride to Greenport was great and I wish more of you could’ve made the quick trip. Definitely a great place to visit in the summer and I welcome you to take that ride, either as a group or individually. We’ll hit Claudio’s for clams, burger’s and beers. Love the pictures too. Thanks so much to all that attended. Happy hot rodding. Enjoy the summer!

Hey Everyone, Let’s fire up the Long Island Expressway with a breakfast cruise out to Southold NY.

SUNDAY May 3, 2015. Country Corner Cafe, 55765 Rte 25 • Southold, NY 11971.

Meeting Spot, LIE Eastbound Rest area between exits 51 – 52. Meet by 8am, we drive at 8:15am

Breakfast at 9:15 (to get in before the Cafe is most crowded)
If anyone has additional sightseeing or cruise ideas for coming back after breakfast, post em up!
