Hey Alex, I sold my ACR and have been looking for a used 2004 or 2005 SRT10, trying to get in under $50K. But I started looking at this one:
I know this is an anomaly on pricing and ’08’s go for more money, but do you have any idea of where he is on price?

I do sense he may accept a few thousand below the going rate – since it’s a direct sale. He’d get a wholesale price if he sold to a dealer – so offering that price may be fair to both. I don’t think it’s to far above where you’re targeting actually. In situations like these it’s so hard to tell given the reason he’s selling – my sense is that the ease of the sale would be meaningful as he’s focused on so many important things he has to plan before his passing.
I will email you his contact info, give him a call. You never know!

I did reached out to 2 of them simply because he knew of them and I thought he’d have more of a possibility to call. He said he did call them.

Hey guys, I thought I’d write just in case there’s a possibility we may be able to help a member who gotten some very bad news – I wanted to be careful not to publicize on the open forums as it’s very personal for one of our members.
Ron Kent lives in Georgia, I met him years ago when he learned the 2008 SSG that he bought was mine and he reached out to me. He’s stayed in touch over the years, and I’ve met him at events, but he called me this week thanking me for a wonderful car and that the experience he’s had in the club was amazing… He then told me he was just diagnosed with terminal cancer, he’s got a couple months to live. Ugh. He says he is preparing his wife, and among many things, wants to sell the Viper before he goes so that she doesn’t have to deal with it – he’s looking for help to make this easier at a tough time.
I’ve given him some direction on who he can call to help with pricing and help getting the word out, also showed him how to post in our classifieds as things do sell well there (would have done it for him if I could). But I wanted to pass a note to all of you just in case by chance there’s someone out there you may know who might want a 2008 SSG convertible. It’s got 58K miles now. He says it’s only been driven in the rain twice since he’s owned it. I sold it with 32K to him and was flawless.
He’s working out what pricing he’d want, but I sense he’d be glad to unload it if it was quick and simple. This may be a good opportunity for a direct buyer to get a good price, as well as make it easy for Ron.
Throwing it out there in case there’s some possible luck that can come his way at such a bad time. If you share this, please don’t share Ron’s name or intimate details, but you can reference that sickness has forced a very quick sale of a good car. Let me know if you have any leads and I can put them in touch with Ron.
Any help is appreciated.
