That was a great video. I have run on track days there and the first turn is the very last place I would like to be trying to avoid collisions. That was a great job getting through that. Keep up the good work and keep us posted on future races.

Looks like the Viper ahead of you was entirely too optimistic on his chances of making that corner. Shame. Can’t win a race on the first lap, but surely can lose it.

It’s been an action packed weekend, finishing up with 2 exciting races on Sunday at the 2016 SCCA Majors Tour at Portland International Raceway! This was the #11 Viper’s first time at this track, and first time running in GT2 class (we had to re-class the car, as continuing development made the car too difficult to set up for T-1 properly)

We picked up 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the GT2 class, and collected invaluable data on the new to us tires and suspension set ups.

Thank you to RB Performance Brakes (you can see the benefit of 100% reliable brakes in the video below, where we manage to stay out of troubles that claimed 5 cars and ended the race on the first lap), as well as Viper Parts Rack, and our new partner – Extreme CMT – for their support this weekend.

Here’s a short video of aborted race. Sometimes it all unravels in the first corner! We were super fortunate to avoid the melee (and having the right equipment helped, of course).
