MOTEC and Camera Help

I have a Motec M150 hooked by CAN bus to an AiM datalogger (MXL2) with a Smarty Cam, but I don’t have it all operational yet. It should present all of the data available from the ECU.

I need to go take a class or something.

Or hire someone to do it for me.

I don’t mind wrenching on cars, but the electrical stuff is above my comfort level a lot of the time.

Cobra, we have a great guy out here that does the Motec for race teams. Wish I could help. They have a good website and help. Try there. Easy button is to hire someone to get configured!!

You talking about Shane T? He does Poteet’s Bonneville car and a lot of pro stock cars around the country. He did my MoTeC set-up and he has a great guy who works with him who built my harness.

NASA had a class for that stuff out here when I went to the race school. It was a two day deal. I believe it taught set up and what to do/learn from the data from the people I spoke with. YMMV

ha ha….I didn’t take it. I was there for the race license school but failed to finish due to the catastrophic prefix engine failure.

I’m sure that was a huge disappointment!

I guess I’ll see if I can get lucky with someone being able to remotely help me out.

What camera system are you running with your MOTEC (ADL2) to get your RPMs, temps, etc in the information?

I always ran an OBDII bluetooth device in my ACR.
