The seats are a pain to get in… I ended up bolting up the front bracket first(just a few threads) then getting the back mounts slid on the studs.

      What looks very easy, isn’t.

Thanks for the tips guys. Last night I opened up the rear hole on that bracket by about 1/8 inch toward the rear. That allowed me to install that bracket.

Next step is getting the seat back in the car. I test fit it a couple times last week and it did look like it would have its own little challenges. Hopefully it doesn’t fight me too much.

So I ordered a 2 inch fixed seat lowering kit a couple weeks ago. Spent some time last week taking the seat rails apart and fitting the new brackets. I’ve run into an issue and after searching the old forums for 2 hours I’ve come up empty with any install pics of the kit. Which is a little surprising since many people have said to installed it successfully over the last decade or so.

Anywho, here’s where I’m at. I have attached each of the rear brackets. I have also fit each of the front brackets. Now I have the long extra piece that is supposed to prevent the bottom cushion from sliding forward when the seat back angle is adjusted. From the looks of the outboard rear seat bracket, there is a slot where it fits in, and this is where the extra bolt was that came with the kit. It appears as though it should connect to that rear bracket and then run towards the front of the seat and mount with the same bolt as the outboard front bracket. However, the gap between the two mounting holes of the long piece are a quarter inch too short for me to be able to do that. I’ve looked around it do not see anywhere else where this piece should go based on the length and the description in the instructions.

So does anyone have pictures of where it should go?

Here is the piece in question:

This is how I was trying to mount it:

And a picture showing the quarter inch offset:

Since I had some free time I also did some test fitting of the seat without that long bracket installed. Took a few tries to get the front brackets mounted at the correct angle. Now I think the angle is correct but the brackets are just a bit off from the holes, one up and one to the side. The best advice I saw on the old posts so far was to take a screw driver through the hole and try to pry the seat over because it should have some flex. I will try that next unless someone has any better ideas.
