Welcome aboard! Your next move might be to join the Illinois region of our club? Love black Vipers … but the dust! Keeps us busy! Congrats.

Very nice! What a way to ‘break in’ your Viper!
A 1300mile road trip. Hope you enjoyed that ride 🙂

I’ll definitely join the IL region, thanks for the suggestion! I told myself I was done with black cars a while back and of course I had to make an exception. Will definitely be on the lookout for other member’s detailing preferences.

You bet! Luckily the speed limit over on some of the interstates down in AR was 85 (possibly among the highest in the country?). Oh yeah, and I didn’t have plates or a radar for that excursion. Thankful for Waze!

Saw your Viper at Supercar Saturday last weekend, I was there too! Beautiful!

I’m in the loop during the week typically and in the southwest suburbs (Orland Park area) most weekends. I have the Viper garaged in the burbs so I haven’t taken it out much during the week days yet. Sorry to have missed out on this meeting.

Awesome, I saw yours out in the lot. Looks extremely clean & great color combo. Next time we gotta park up with the other Vipers. There was quite a turnout for the last meet of the summer. Btw, gotta love that the F40 owner consistently cruises it unlike most that are kept in museums.:smileys-car-driving

Thank you! And – yes we do! I saw the turnout and was a little depressed, but me and the girl (she has the 996TT that was parked next to me) got there late. I had a long talk with the F40 driver at an earlier SCS event, he invited me to a few of the track events! Super awesome guy.

      Hey all,

I’m thrilled to join your community and to be a first-time SRT10 owner. Like many of you, the Viper was one of those cars I had on a poster in my bedroom as a child and daydreamed about owning one day. I picked up my ’04 SRT10 in Dallas mid-August and became well acquainted with it in the 1,300-mile road trip in the first two days of ownership. The following week I launched out of Chicago on Crown Rally South and this weekend I brought it to the last [Chicagoland] Supercar Saturday of the season. Lots of great events already and many more to come.

As she sits, my SRT10 is bone stock and I intend on a few tasteful mods in the next few years, which I’ll be grateful to receive your input and recommendations for. Check out a few of the pics below and I look forward to the ownership experience and community!

      Best,
      Will

Next to my brother’s Lotus Evora (wrapped 3M Gloss Flip Psychedelic)
