I think this is an important document. MCVO Region adopted a similar Code of Conduct earlier this year.
The only comment I have on the draft is that I don’t understand what the last item on the bottom of Page 2 says. Can it be expressed a bit more directly?

The document is laid out very well for Officers and Members, but what about Enthusiasts, they should not have free reign on the forums.

Good input on both points.
I made some changes to help explain the item at the bottom of page 2. Also incorporated a small section to make clear that this also applies to enthusiasts/non-members.
The new version will be posted shortly to replace the one that’s currently there.
Thanks

We’ve been working on various documents in the background, much of it to help better organize the club and prepare for the future (many of them meant as guidance documents for future officers). There is one that is more outward facing that we’ve always felt we needed since the start of the club – a code of ethics document. Not as much to serve as a policy/bylaw, but something in hopes to guide our culture along (guidelines/what to expect). In some ways it’s boilerplate and really should exist at the least as a formality, much of it is common sense and a simple doc.
Sandi/Bob took a swag at an initial document and the rest edited and we put it to the club template. I’ve posted it next to the bylaws on our “The Club” area of the website. If anyone has any edits to suggest, send them over and we can incorporate. Otherwise it’s there to serve as a guide and open for all members to see.

(FYI – for those viewing this on an apple mobile device – it doesn’t always show as Apple has an incompatibility with the reader on our website).
