EVERYONE with the Woodhouse mounts and stock heat shields should get these. I’m on my 3rd mount on my drivers side and 2nd on my pass. side after melting the others due to the heat shield. I ended up having to buy new mounts each time as I was told that there must be a problem with my car and that I was the only person that this ever happened to. I ended up making my own shields as these were not offered and the problem went away. The Woodhouse mounts are great but they must be protected and I wasn’t very happy about being lied to.

As you can see in the photos, the OEM heat shields do not even cover the entire mount. The extended length shield not only covers the entire mount, it extends past the mount for added protection.
