As with any problem, best to define what the problems are first before we start offering solutions. Maybe one of the national board or Bridgett could let us know what the process is that creates the delays. I was once told that new memberships are grouped together so that there can be an efficient run of new name tags that is why they aren’t sent out immediately. I guess some new members just get lucky and happen to register closer to when the packets are put together. If you happen to be the new member that registers right after a run, it may a bit of delay. Again, not sure this is all that is involved, some clarity from Beth may help. BUT I agree, nobody likes joining a new car club and not getting anything for 3 months, all we get is the new member email, which allows local to at least reach out to the new member and make first contact.

Just got emailed from a new member who joined in October who hasn’t received his packet yet.
Any way the specific region’s officers can help out crafting or collecting items to facilitate this?

I send out an email with the officers copied to new members. It has their membership number, how to sync the portal, and a timeline of what to expect for the magazine and the official welcome packet from national.
From the Presidents meeting in April, I started getting copies of the most recent magazine and sending it to the new folks which has been a hit.
Problem is this – the three people who joined in July have yet to receive anything from National. Bridget is doing all she can. She received confirmation from USPS that the labels for mailing were created a month ago maybe, but nothing received.
Anyone have ideas on how to make this a better onboarding experience? Tough enough to get a member – a great experience from the start is expected in today's world. Anyone with knowledge and experience on the VCA process or how other clubs handle this process?
Thanks for the help and advice.

Capital VipersBrian – text me the names of the 3 members you’re referring to and I’ll look into it.

Your new member should receive it any day now. When a person joins in October the last quarter of the year is “free” and they have a membership through the end of the following year which is why those packets don’t go out until first of the year.
