Congrats Aaron!!! Gorgeous car! FYI, I’m in the SFV should you ever be in the area (Studio City).
Regarding a mechanic…. I highly recommend Dan Cragin at Specialty Performance Team.
There is none better. In fact I wouldn’t even call Dan a Viper mechanic… I call him a “Viper Engineer”.

Aaron, beautiful Viper, congrats!!
We are fortunate to have one of the best Viper shops in the US located in LA (Alhambra). Dan Cragin will take care of you, probably 10 plus Vipers in his shop today including my Comp Coupe.
Best wishes and enjoy your new Viper!! Mike

Stunning car. Congratulations

Thanks, everyone! π
I have a small issue with one of my windows, and I have an appointment on Monday at a Dodge dealership in Torrence where they apparently have a master viper technician (referral from a Dodge dealership near me, which to their credit said that they were not the right place), but I’ll definitely use Dan for anything more serious. Is he a good guy to go to for just regular maintenance? Or is he the type of guy that you really only go to for major stuff? Thanks in advance!

You didn’t mention the symptoms, but I’ll bet its the window regulator. Stretched cable. VERY common. Dealer should be able to handle it easily (though the door panel is a pain). Think those regulators go for around $400.

Hi Scott. The driver side window stutters when it goes up and down. Maybe it got knocked out of alignment (from being transported for such a long distance) or maybe something is wrong with the regulator or motor. I am far from expert at these things, which is why I need a good mechanic! π But yeah, I figured that a dealership should be fine for this.

@ Aaron: Dan does both the regular yearly maintenance and heavy lifting. In fact I won’t allow anyone but Dan to touch my car. I’m sure he could also help with your window.
Hope this helps.

Based on your response, this isn’t something that you’ll take on by yourself, but here’s some insight into what’s likely the problem:

Coincidently, the color is right. π

Aaron, you will pay a lot more for that repair at the dealer and their guy is no where as experienced as Dan with Vipers. Dan will preform a free overall inspection of your car too if you would like.

Thanks, everyone!

Hi all. I wanted to introduce myself, and this seemed like the right place to do so. I just purchased a Gen IV Dodge Viper from a Dodge dealership in Green Bay, WI (and, yes, my wife and I timed our trip to check out the car so that we could also go to a Green Bay Packers game! π ). Below are some photos of the car. I have never been so happy about buying a car before! Now I just need to find a good mechanic in West L.A. Anyway, looking forward to learning more about the Viper community!
Best regards,
Aaron
