Congrats!!! The hellcats do make great daily drivers and road trip cars…as long as fuel consumption isn’t a issue. Also the whine of tha SC is as addictive as the exhaust note. I do love me a hellcat!

Thanks, yea the sound of the supercharger was worth the price of admission alone. I’ve had turbocharged cars my whole life up until last year, so I was used turbo sucking noise, but the whine is definitely intoxicating.

The exhaust is perfect…though it’s really not that loud in the cabin. I don’t plan on doing any mods to this car…at least for a long time.

Great color combination, too! I’ve not seen that color with the brass monkey wheels and red interior. Very sharp!

      Good choice. 🙂

Thanks, I think the jury is still out on whether I like it. The combination does look better in person, than in pictures. In any case, the dealer put brand new A/S tires on it a couple of weeks ago, but they are a crappy no name brand tire. So I was thinking of keeping this set for cold weather months and getting a summer set of wheels/tires. A couple of vendors have flat black Demon replica wheels like $200/wheel, which I was surprised how cheap they were.

Also considering adding some black vinyl stripes at some point.

I’d leave it and just get different wheels/tires if need be. It’s cool as is. 🙂

Great spec on the HC! I just picked up a Destroyer Gray RedEye wide body a few months ago. Real fun car!

Awesome! Those Redeyes are beasts. Since you’re a graphite owner as well, DG is a perfect complement. They seem to handle pretty well on the street for their weight. I might try mine on our annual AutoX event to get a real feel. Brakes are definitely great for sure.

To further fuel my car addiction and to counter the boredom that COVID have left us with, I went out and purchased a 2017 Dodge Challenger Hellcat 6 speed in my favorite color; Destroyer Grey.

I picked her up at a Rhode Island Dodge Dealership, where it was originally purchased and serviced, with 22K miles and change on the odometer. I got this to be a semi-DD car that I could enjoy more often. With only about 250 miles of seat time thus far, I can still say the Viper is still more fun to drive. The Hellcat, with all the updated technology, definitely makes for a nicer daily driver…with a ton of power to boot.

So it looks like all 3 of my cars will be sub 12 MPG machines. If I ever do get sent back to the office for work, it’ll only be a 10 mile round trip commute, so increasing fuel prices shouldn’t sting too bad, haha.
