May I ask the experts here for a shop recommendation in the Boston area to have this fixed? I can trailer the car.

      Thank you,
      Matt

If you are willing to trailer it to Poughkeepsie NY I know a very capable shop. He Builds allot of high HP vipers including mine. What year is your car?

Tator’s Garage ( aka Tator’s Dodge) would be my number one choice.

      Give Chuck Tator a call.

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions. I’ve heard nothing but great things about Chuck, just wish he was closer.

Viper engines are basic and very easy to work on them for an experienced engine builder. There is no need for special tooling.
The most important is the crank shop that will analyse and balance your crank.
One important advice: never start your engine to show people the noise it makes. It will further deterolate the crank.
We have now 25 cranks rebuilt in Quebec 🙁

Ask people on local racing forum who rebuild engines.
Or just Call Turner Motorsport for advise (1h from Boston), they race and rebuild a LOT of engines.
They know where to balance a crank.
