i had the same problem with my 06 cuope pop up power port, it was disconnected somehow from the wire underneath, best bet is check the connections if they are connected, and if they are make sure the acc is on cuz that the only way it works , dicconect the connections and check for power to make sure u have power. once again the power on the pop up only turns on with ignition in on position.

Holy wowzers…I can’t remember now if I checked it with the power on to the car! I would think I would have but maybe I didn’t. If I boneheaded it that badly I give you permission to hit me with a hot wheels track. I think I may have assumed it was a passive system because even though I am not that old (36), I grew up when they were “cigarette lighters” instead of power ports and worked all the time, key on or not. Plus the ones on my truck are a passive powered system.
So key must be in the on position or the vehicle must be running. I’ll be sure to check them that way. If no power, will pull the piece and check underneath.
Also will try the turning thing but I think I tried that already. FWIW, I have seen them be different from car to car. I got these small little LED flashlights for me and my girlfriend and hers plugs in fine to her Ford Taurus but in my truck I had to put the little adapter thing on and it still doesn’t always seem to catch. So these things are clearly not standardized.
Thanks for the tips, I will report back later.

Friggin dash panel has been put back in mine twice and the cig lighter left unplugged…..thankfully it is easy to check.

the pop up port panel is just clipped in no screws needed as i remember, just get a flat head screwdriver and pop open a corner to check for the wiring..

So I ordered 2 different “high speed” phone chargers for use on the drive for NVE. (Well I figured I would throw one in the truck.) They both have dual charging ports. Neither one seems to work in the 2006 pop up power port in the Viper though. I checked them both and the cable and they both work in the truck, 2004 Ram. FWIW they illuminate when plugged in even without a device connected and the don’t illuminate in the Viper
My first assumption was the fuse but I was told that the pedals are on the same fuse so if the pedals work then the fuse isn’t blown. Well the pedals move fine.
Any ideas? Is it just a fit thing? Is it that the “high speed dual port” is trying to draw too many amps? The Phone is a Galaxy S4 that otherwise charges fine at home or in the truck.
Any ideas or solutions? Perhaps a standard charger fits better?
Thanks.
