The “O” ring has been replaced twice, but it
still leaks. The leak is very minor, but bothersome. Also, my oil
pressure seems high. 80 at idle, up from there. Could the pressure cause
the leak, and how can I lower the oil pressure is that is the issue?

      Answer by Toddy Gomez:
Have your dealership replace it with a new solenoid along with o-rings to be absolutely sure it’s not the solenoid fitment. If it still leaks the problem may be the counter bore size in the block. If the block is the issues there is no fix. Keep an eye on your oil pressure and on a regular basis, do periodical visual inspections on solenoid for leakage. The solenoid is the actuator that phases your vvt camshafts oil pressure – FYI important function.
