Ok found out that ALL exhaust ports are D-ports. Just the manifolds were round. Got that info from the famous Greg Good…………………..:D

Manifolds and gaskets went to D port with the 1996 GTS.

My late year 94 has round ports……………………. all gen 1 heads have round ports.

Not quite accurate. I am looking at a set of 95 heads with D shaped exhaust ports. Sooooo……..

Trying to find out when the Gen I heads changed from an round exhaust port design to a D port design? Did it help in better performance? I was thinking it was 1994 at the same time they changed the intake from a 4 rib magnesium to a 3 rib aluminum design. Any know for sure?
