I have several members that go after their vendors at work for auction items, power washers, tools and anything that a car guy would want. We auction the items for our charity and for our treasury, but you have to get creative on how you get those items. We bought several NVE-1 items for door prizes and auction items. It takes a lot of networking, but you have a VP that has a lot of contacts, use him!!!

Bruce, give me a call and I will put you in touch with some of the sponsors for the club. AdrianTalk to the man, Adrian 😀
In Houston we have a lot of local speed shops and Tomball Dodge so there is a lot of competition to win service, modification, and sales business from our members. It’s easy to reach out to them when we have a function to see how they might want to get involved.

Bruce – Adrian will be able to help you a ton with creating successful raffles with sponsored items I’m sure!
an additional angle to consider is holding a 50/50 at a few events. I know it’s not external help for your region but if the members get into it you can have some fun with it and build the account balance a little.

To all,
Crossroads is a new region this year and our energy level is high. We are on a small budget and looking for ways to increase revenue to have the club pay for events or subsidize them. I see other regions have raffles and dinners with items from our sponsors and vendors to help increase revenue. Most of us in Crossroads have not had a lot of dealings with our Sponsors (yet) but would like to get a few items to raffle off to the club during Our upcoming Holiday Dinner or any other events we see fit to make money on. We have already donated over $1000.00 to Wounded Warriors which is our charity of choice, but that does not increase our revenue just our public presence.
Any ideas on how to get items or if anyone has anything to donate to us as well is appreciated.
Thanks
Bruce
