“NOTICE:
All registrations are reviewed by moderators before your account is approved. Failure to enter valid, true information such as your name, address, and a valid phone number will delay your accounts approval.”
Hi Don,
Above is what we now advise on the forum registration page. It states exactly what is expected, yet probably somewhere between 25% and 50% of the registrants do not fill out their registration as requested.
So in an effort to stem the tide of miscreants, can we make the following changes:
Make the font both larger and bold
Change the language as follows: All registrations require the approval of the moderators BEFORE your account will be accepted. Failure to enter valid, true information such as your FULL NAME, ADDRESS, and a valid PHONE NUMBER will prevent your account’s approval. PLEASE don’t attempt any shortcuts (i.e., initials only, non-verifiable address or bogus phone numbers) as we DO authenticate all the information and your efforts will prove to be a waste of time.
No idea if it will work, but this is the best that I’ve got.
