What the hell do I do with all these gift cards then???

      lol

I didn’t check the sending address, so I’d replied. I asked a bunch of questions and they responded that I needed to buy six $100 giftcards tonight. That immediately raised every red flag I own.

I’ve heard of this. They’ll ask you to send them the numbers on the back of the cards. That will let them steal the contents.

      Reported the email as spam.

      Thanks Beth!!!

      Yet another Scam 😡

I get loads of these type of emails, I do not know how but someone hacked into my old phone address book so now I get emails using friends names which then want you to click to a website link 😡

      Good evening officers,

By now most of ya’ll probably have received an email requesting gift cards to donate to Veterans at Hospice and Palliative care units. If you hover over the email address you will see it came from presorg@mansnmansn.com . . . whatever the hell that is.

I DID NOT SEND IT SO PLEASE DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY!

Per Don: Happens all the time. Executive officers of an organization, are “trusted” by the recipient, and so they don’t put a lot of effort into checking to see if the email is legit. Social hacking is the most successful method of hacking.

This should also serve as a reminder whenever you get a questionable email from anyone to simply hover over the email address itself to determine if it is legitimate or not.

      Beth
