It will happen eventually. Personally I love the idea. While I love driving myself, most of the population is absolutely stupid when it comes to being behind the wheel.

For trips when I drive to see family, I’d love something automated. An hour and a half drive in crappy traffic? I’d rather be reading a book or something.

The future of cars will be: you get on your phone and say “i need a car for two people in 20 mintues to take me X” – the car arrives, picks you up, and drops you off. gonna take your wife out to dinner? You ask for a limo.

Wonder how long it will take someone to hack the system. That would be my biggest fear. Or computer glitches as well

I would love to see self driving cars. All the people who don’t take any pride in driving can get one and stop clogging up the left lane, or trying to side swipe me when they don’t signal any lane changes or turns.

I don’t want a car that drives itself, where is the pleasure in that?
