So I finally got my helmet, an Arai GP6S. Loving the helmet. Went out and checked to see how I fit in the car with the helmet on and discovered that I need to lower my seat. I was already debating doing this. I’m only 6’1″ but I have to look down at the hood even in my normal driving position. With the helmet on it feels like I’m almost having to lay down.
Does anyone have a recommendation on the best lowering adjustment? 1″, 2″, etc. Whether I should do this or let my mechanic? And what are the consequences of lowering the seat?
