My ’97 GTS should be on it’s way in a week. What I do know is it needs tires and I’ve searched around and having trouble finding tires that won’t break the bank as I just purchased this vehicle.

I’ve seen the Toyo Proxy’s ( 345/40R17) for the rear are a great deal, some have said best tire and some have had lesser views and they’re back ordered on some sites. What kind mileage wear can I expect with just city/hwy driving on these or any of the tires avail really?

Those who run Toyo’s in the rear are you running Toyo’s in the front too?

It seems that the easiest but more expensive option are the factory size Michelin’s.

Are there other sizes for the rear that would be cheaper or not 400 a piece?

Also, as I’m just purchasing this vehicle, I want to make sure nothing happens to it and couldn’t quite come up with a locking gas cap for the GTS except maybe this one? Anyone have experience? https://www.autozone.com/emission-control-and-exhaust/fuel-cap/duralast-fuel-cap/4393_0_5269
