They were polished AND clear coated.

Be very careful detailing these OE Clear-Coated / Polished wheels. Many owners in the past whose salesmen told them the wheels were chromed caused “Milky Wheel Syndrome” when using metal cleaners and polishes on their clear-coat!

Treat them as you would your hood! And those anti-static wheel sprays like “WHEEL SHIELD” do a decent job of repelling some % of brake dust… water-based….

Thanks guys. That’s why I wanted to make sure they were clear coated. I will use the same product that I use on my paint.

Definitely clear coated, and definitely not the most durable finish.

What Jon B says. They are great wheels, and I love them on my 03. Hard to find – I had to buy a new one last summer after I curbed one, and got lucky. I still have the curbed rim, needs some repair, but is usable.
