Does it cause an issue with forum proliferation?

I know it’s annoying to weed through bitching – but sometimes there are pearls of wisdom in there. LOL…

maybe a subforum? I can go either way – and Gen V definitely is the only one that can have this – just expect someone else to bitch that we are censoring / sugar coating the public’s thoughts on the Gen V… (it’s almost like I am psychic.)

I think a sub-forum would be best for the time being. I would not break it out creating an additional Viper area. The question is whether we should show “Suggestions” on the front page just under the Gen V banner or not.

I like the idea of it but don’t know if it would be a good idea in reality. A forum dedicated to people (cause this is what it will end up being) bitching about the car and manufacturer. Especially if the word “suggestion” is there. It’s so amazing how this new Viper has people so divided.

Will it actually solve anything? You will still have a sub forum filled with hate…. I guess it would be split tech and other but I have a feeling they will still mix.

But then again I don’t have a suggestions more useful so….. 😉

I like the idea of creating the forum, but I sense even if it’s there, a lot of the bitching will still continue. It’s tough to take criticism, I know it hurts the SRT guys at times because folks don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes, but I don’t see a way to clean up the other area (unless you guys want to put up the constant effort in moving things over to the other forum).

I think it’s a good idea. Or perhaps something more global – and SRT suggestion box?

My only concern, and it’s a big one, is that when you create a forum like that – you’re inviting the hate. You’ll likely create posts that otherwise wouldn’t have existed… Hmm.

Depending on wording…

If there is a disclaimer (which human nature tends to ignore at first) that all suggestions should be of a constructive type. Leave snarly rancid comments at home.

It make take a couple pages and a reminder once in a while, but how the forum title and description is worded should give you the guide of the threads below it.

MP said something in another thread elsewhere: this is your board, make it how you want. (just my two cents)

A suggestion was rec’d which some directors ask that we consider. I can’t see any harm here as it will allow us to isolate any malcontents without censorship. Comments?

Since this is a recurring theme on the VCA site for the Gen V forum, could we perhaps get a “SRT/Gen V Suggestion Box” forum

So, those wanting to spew endless garbage about how bad the Gen V sucks or how bad SRT Marketing is (Which is pretty atrocious I agree) can do so in a separate forum from those wishing to discuss their ownership experiences? IMHO it is the only way to prevent the Gen V forum from going negative, fast.
