This is perfect, thanks! Really looking forward to getting back to the ToD!

If you (please let me know whom ‘YOU’ are – IM’s are ok) are staying over Sunday evening and leaving Monday, i am thinking of leading a group back on the TOD on Sunday late afternoon. The roads tend to clear by 5-6pm and since it will be daylight until 8:45ish…it is much safer and certainly a lot of fun to do it at that time (cruiser bikes have gone home, and only the serious rockets are left, few cars). I’d sure like some buy-in on this, to know how many to plan for.

Thanks, Thomas!
Any suggestions regarding a return route from Deals Gap via Cherokee?

If you are speaking of a return to somewhere in NC (Asheville are?) from Deal’s Gap – Josrocket is the man to ask –
my best guess if you are wanting to extend your driving enjoyment, then something like: Deal’s Gap to Fontana DAM NC, to 28, to 74 to 40E. I’m sure there are many other possibilities over there, but i am less familiar with roads past Fontana.
Of course, you could always come back on the Foothills Parkway from Deal’s Gap, and follow little river road to 441, then either over the mountain into NC (Cherokee) and on, or go West, and hit I40 and follow that home. Josh, you want to chime in here?? -
Get to know your backroads for possible Friday June 3rd T.O.D. drives with these:
