      Ralph and Doris are awesome.

Doris was here in Orlando with her kids 2 months ago. She did brunch with a few of us VOA members, she really is a top notch down to earth lady.

Do any other manufacturers have this level of involvement with customers/enthusiasts? I can’t think of any…

No way! Within 24 hours of tweeting out that I was on my way to pick up my new TA, Ralph responded, as did a woman that actually works in the factory on the line that built the car. That is such a cool thing!

As for the PCM, who do I give my money to and how soon can I get it?

      Seriously ๐Ÿ˜€

I FULLY expect that SRT will not let existing owners down with any PCM upgrades…. They are watching the posts about the dyno numbers and drag race guys concerned about heatsoaking detuning the engine – and they love the current Viper guys, so…. anticipate this benefiting you, too.

That’s great news, because I was on the fence about waiting for a 2015 with some of the remarks Ralph had made. I decided that if everyone waited we might not have a 2015 to buy so I bought a 14. I have headers in the garage waiting to be installed as soon as that ECU comes out.

I saw the numbers on the Dyno runs, significant bump with pcm and headers/exhaust. We will be pleased… Good hp for the money.

Was his 598 number with or without cats?

They actually didn’t do the dyno with the cats. They did only the pcm and we’re extremely happy. They did a conservative estimate with headers and cats and feel they’d achieve 600 rwh easily. According to their math on drivetrain loss, they are comfortable saying it makes 690 at the crank with both mods.

I wonder what it made on the dyno stock with just the addition of the ECU?

Also I think it some of the power dyno numbers out there are due to the IAT’s and timming being pulled from the factory ECU. Hopefully this will make the car perform more consistantly as well.

I’m not sure if those numbers are public, so please don’t publish. It was 572 on PCM alone and stock exhaust on a somewhat newer car.

Increase of 30rwhp over stock. They’re expecting approx. 25 more from a good free flowing full headers/cats/exhaust. And based on previous published tests on GenIV’s with belangers, it’s in the ballpark. They’re hoping it’ll be a $5K mod that gets folks to 700hp.

      I will keep it private.

      My Gen IV:

      Mopar ECU $1000
M&M Headers $2000-3000 depending on catback and options
Gen V Intake $1000 (Don’t need this for the new car)
Under Drive Pulley $200 (Should work just find on the new car)
      No cats

Car made 615rwhp SAE Corrected. Also made 602rwhp through a factory catback without the under drive pulley.

Sounds like this ECU will really let us pick up some power and allow for a car with cats to still make 600rwhp. Now we are talking ๐Ÿ˜€

On Sunday we (NY/CT region) as well as members from neighboring regions enjoyed lunch with Ralph and Doris in NYC. To say they are one of the most down to earth and humble people around would be an understatement. They were both very appreciative of the big turnout and Doris commented how strong our region seems to be. On that note, I want to say that we’ve never been able to get anyone from SRT to NY/CT in the other club for various reasons.

Since being in the VOA, we’ve had nothing but positive support from SRT. I want to thank everyone for making this club happen and I believe even greater things are coming!!!

Ralph asked me if there was any talk of the new Challenger here on the forums. He’s very interested in what folks are saying/speculating about the new Challenger and indirectly about the new hellcat engine. I read between the lines and he’s gauging reaction about the horsepower wars that “allegedly” ๐Ÿ˜€ may be going on at SRT. I think SRT will be watching our forums with great interest soon as the details of the “hellcat” are released.

But I wanted to pass on Ralph and Doris’ thanks to you all. Ralph wanted me to thank everyone here for everything that we do. Keep up the great work!

P.S. while Ralph couldn’t talk about future product he did show a few us of pics of dyno pulls. During the conversation, he used the words “new engine” and “pcm” interchangeably. What I do know, is that a new PCM for the GenV is coming out in about a week or so. As for the “new engine” comment, I think he simply meant the GenV engine. Not a brand new engine. He was pretty excited about the dyno numbers from this PCM so it should be good. Wish we had more to share but we respected Ralphs’ confidentiality over new product info. We decided not to tie him down and force answers. :anonymous:
