Sounds normal to me…in fact it sounds really good. Often times the engine almost sounds like sewing machine, of course much louder.

It’s not constant nor consistent so it’s kinda odd to me. If it was a tick or a piston slap or something, I’d assume it would be pretty constant, right?

Sounds like exhaust components heating and expanding to me.

Yeh. You can hear the I hectors clicking on these cars among other things like blacksnake said. A loud tick indicates a manifold/header crack or leak. Sounds fine to me. Be careful of “ghost noises.” That’s what I call it when I hear something maybe one time and then I am listening so hard for it I become paranoid about every noise, smell, gauge reading. It can drive you mad.

I may have been getting myself to that “drive you mad” phase, so this helps put me at ease. Still trying to figure out what noises are “normal” and which are something to be inspected further. Now time to tune it out and just enjoy… 🙂

Hey guys… I noticed some type of “clicking” noise coming from the engine area a while ago. Just curious if this is normal, or if there is something I need to be checking out. (of course first thing that comes to mind is piston slap) When I got the car back in June, I had to get the slave cylinder replaced a few days later. Viper tech that did the work said everything checked out on the car, so I’m assuming all is good. Still though, let me know if this sounds alright.
EDIT: A few decent sounding ones around 32sec…
